World Earth Day
World Earth Day Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by EarthDay.org (formerly Earth Day Network)including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries. The official theme for 2022 is Invest In Our Planet . Earth Day Focus in India Extensive Tree Plantation: Trees are our primary defence against pollution and climate protection. Since 2016, more than 900 million trees have been planted in India under the aegis of World Earth Day. This has been done by efforts primarily driven by governments but also supported by many Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), as well as academic institutions.
